A romantic relationship — and its aftermath — can be a volatile time for some people. Even relationships that only last a short period of time can result in strong feelings. Despite this, these feelings rarely lead to violence. However, a woman in Minnesota now faces criminal charges after she reportedly became involved in an altercation with her ex-boyfriend.

The incident happened on a day in late April. According to police, the 27-year-old woman broke into the home of a man she had previously dated. Officials say that, after she entered his home, she went into his room where she allegedly became angry. The man claims that she struck his face and scratched him with her nails.

The man, who claims that he and the woman dated for approximately a month a half, retreated into a bathroom. He then reportedly contacted police. Police say the woman reported that she was aware that she was not supposed to be in the man’s home. She now faces multiple charges, including domestic assault and first-degree burglary.

Often, a relationship’s end is fraught with misunderstanding. Unfortunately, this woman now faces criminal charges following an alleged interaction with a man she dated for a brief period of time. If convicted of these crimes, she could face a significant consequences. As many other people in Minnesota have chosen to do, she may want to hire an experienced criminal defense attorney to guide her through the criminal process. With such a professional on her side, she may have more confidence in the decisions that she must make in the coming days.
