When a person faces criminal charges, they may often feel unsure about their options. For example, some people may be uncertain about their right to remain silent when questioned by police. Unfortunately, police in Minnesota claim that they have recently arrested the same driver twice in just over seven hours for drunk driving.

The man reportedly first came to the attention of officers just after 6 p.m. on a day in late February. According to report, an officer conducted a traffic stop after he noticed a driver make a lane change on the interstate without signaling. After the stop, he allegedly failed a field sobriety test and was arrested. He was released to a sober driver.

However, just over seven hours later, police in a nearby city conducted a traffic stop after allegedly spotting a driver make multiple lane changes without signaling. Police say that the driver claimed that he had only recently been released after being accused of DWI hours before. Reports claim that more field sobriety tests were conducted, and the man was taken into custody once more.

Unfortunately, the Minnesota man now faces multiple significant decisions as a result of the drunk driving allegations against him. In many cases, those accused of a crime who have little to no legal training or experience feel unprepared to make those decisions on their own. Fortunately, there are experienced professionals who can help guide them through the process, ensuring that defendants are fully aware of their options and their rights.
