Unfortunately, a teenager in Minnesota who initially attracted attention after she allegedly parked in a church parking lot was arrested twice for DWI in an eight-hour period.
Police say that they originally responded to a call about a suspicious vehicle at approximately 9:45 p.m. on a day in mid-October. When they arrived at the scene, they claim to have discovered an 18-year-old female in the vehicle. Officers believe that the teenager exhibited signs of being under the influence and claimed to have discovered prescription drugs in her vehicle.
The woman was arrested for suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. Because it was her first offense, she was released after being taken to jail. However, police say she was arrested a second time after they responded to a report of an accident involving a car and a mailbox several hours later. It was allegedly the same woman; police believe that she may have “ingested another substance” in the intervening hours.
